This Bluetooth Adapter is designed to work only with Pioneer "Bluetooth Adapter Ready" AV Receivers (AVH-P7800DVD and AVH-P6800DVD). When used with compatible Bluetooth cellular phone, hands-free operation is functional. Bluetooth wireless technology is a revolutionary technology that allows a compatible headunit to communicate with most Bluetooth wireless technology enabled cellular phones, treating the mobile phone as a source device. After setting up an individual user ID, Bluetooth wireless technology can automatically communicate between the phone and headunit whenever the two devices are within range of each other. This lets you make/accept calls (including call waiting), talk, and hang up via the audio system, without touching the phone at all — even when, for example, the headset is in your pocket, bag, or briefcase.
